For example, the Icicle Creek Winery in nearby Peshastin has a 5,000 square foot lodge and tasting room set on acres of vineyards with a pond and scenic mountain views.
Leavenworth wineries are often very reasonably priced and offer attractive rates on their wine clubs.
The Silvara Cellars is another scenic, relaxing winery near Leavenworth with excellent wines for tasting and purchase.
It is on a small hilltop on a gravel road just off Highway 2 three miles east of downtown.
Silvara Cellars has a commanding view above the Wenatchee River with a mountain backdrop. Their wine is small-batched and handcrafted, and the lodge is gorgeous.
Silvara Cellars' tasting room is open to the public. They also host weddings and events at the facility.
In addition to wines, they also have beers, light snacks, fine cheeses, fig jam, and more. The facility is newer and was built in 2008.
The Wenatchee Valley also offers numerous small farms and fruit stands along the roadway.
It is one of the premier fruit growing regions of the world. Delicious apples, pears, cherries, peaches, and apricots are all grown in the area.
In the spring, the area is filled with beautiful apple and cherry blossoms. Tours are also offered of the orchards and the fruit stands, depending on the season.
